We caught up with Sijibomi, a 24-year-old model, video vixen, part-time content creator, and self-proclaimed “lawyer in equity”, to talk all things fashion, self-expression, and dream getaways. Here’s what she had to say:
Please tell us about yourself.
Hi! I’m Sijibomi, 24. I’m a model, video vixen, lawyer in equity, lol and part-time content creator. I like to think of myself as a creative even if some people might disagree. I love reading novels, listening to music, partying… basically, anywhere that’s fun, call me and I’ll show up!
If you could raid any celebrity’s wardrobe for a red carpet event, whose would it be and why?
I want to say Beyoncé just because I’m absolutely in love with her. But honestly, I’d love to get into Doechii’s wardrobe. She would wear anything — her style is so bold and unpredictable, which is exactly why I know I’d enjoy every piece in there.
What’s your dream vacation destination and what’s the first thing you’d pack for it?
I really, really, really want to go to Italy. The very first thing I’m packing is a bikini—and not just for Italy, that’s a go-to for anywhere.
You’re running late for a high-stakes meeting; What’s your go-to “I have my life together” outfit?
First of all, I’m never late! 😂 But if I ever am, I’d throw on a simple shirt dress and a pair of flared pants. Flared pants can never fail you—they just work.
What’s the most unforgettable outfit you’ve ever worn, and what made it so special?
Definitely Look 3 from a fashion shoot I did for Míde. It was this long brown dress with a stunning headpiece. I felt like a princess in it. So gorgeous. I absolutely loved it.
What’s your fashion philosophy in one sentence?
Wear whatever you want and always aim to overdress. There’s no such thing as “too much” in my book. Your style should be as bold and expressive as you are.
How much do you budget for fashion—monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly?
I don’t really budget for fashion. I buy clothes on a whim—if I see something I like and I’ve got the money, I’m getting it. That said, a huge chunk of my money definitely goes to clothes.
